Betsy specializes in providing Neurofeedback services and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has been providing both therapeutic and Neurofeedback services to children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2016. Betsy is a board certified practitioner and professional mentor in Neurofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance and has successfully provided Neurofeedback and QEEG services to all age groups. In addition to providing Neuro and biofeedback services, Betsy focuses clinically on individuals and families who have challenges after experiencing traumatic events by integrating EMDR, TF-CBT, and attachment focused interventions into counseling sessions. Betsy additionally utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy into her clinical practice.

After completing her graduate degree in mental health counseling in Colorado, Betsy worked in a trauma-informed residential and day treatment facility with children, adolescents, and their families navigating difficulties with explosive behaviors, the impact of traumatic events, and problematic relationships. In this setting, Betsy developed a passion for helping individuals recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. She integrated EMDR into her practice during this time and has for many years utilized EMDR to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Betsy joins the Heritage team after working with the largest community mental health clinic serving the northern front range in Colorado. There, Betsy was responsible for the development, oversight, and growth of their Neurofeedback program and was involved in setting the state standard for quality of neurofeedback care.
