Sexual Orientation⁠

Sexual orientation is the term used to describe an individual’s physical or emotional attraction. i.e. (Gay, Straight, Lesbian, Bisexual, Heterosexual, Homosexual, Transgender). Currently there is no scientific consensus about the development of ones sexual orientation. Thus, complicating the psychological and emotional toll on those who are struggling to identify their orientation. For some individuals it is simple and quite obvious, for others the process is complex, confusing, and emotional.

Gender Identity

Gender identity, sometimes confused with sexual orientation, yet distinctly different, refers to a person’s psychological identification as man, woman, or other gender which may conflict with their biological identification at birth. The term transgender is used to describe those who identify with a sex other than the biological one given at birth.
