Nicole is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.  She obtained her CPA while working in Big Four public accounting.  After moving to Texas, she stepped away to focus on raising her children, volunteer work, and expanding the family business.  Eventually, her love and compassion for people moved her to complete a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.  Following graduation, she joined Heritage.

While pursuing her graduate studies, Nicole counseled clients of the Meier Clinics, through their partnership with Real Options, a crisis pregnancy center.  Throughout her work with individuals, adolescents, and couples, she addressed those with past trauma, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.  It is important to Nicole that clients feel seen, heard, and safe to express their feelings in a non-judgmental space by a therapist who receives them with warmth and care.  Her theoretical orientation is integrative in nature but primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where dysfunctional thought patterns are identified and coping techniques are learned, empowering one to change feelings as well as behaviors.

Nicole has been married to her husband John for over 31 years, and they have two adult children.  She is a member of Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco and was actively involved in Frisco Young Life for 10 years, 2 of which included mentoring teen moms through Young Lives.  Her favorite pastime is competitive tennis, although she enjoys any active outdoor activity. She also enjoys meeting new people, reading, and traveling, especially with friends and family.
